Winning the crown of Miss Black Dallas for Kayla was a dream come true and she now uses her platform to inspire and motivate others to follow their dreams using her real-life experiences of both triumph and tragedy. Kayla is a proud graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana earning both a bachelor's and masters degree from the university. She has also lived in both Mexico and South Korea before making Dallas, TX her home.
